Full speaker lineup confirmed
Following Eric van Heck's keynote announcement, the research presenter lineup for DISS 2026 is now complete. We are excited to welcome Xi Wu, Nicolai Fabian, and Tamara Thuis, bringing together perspectives on digital platforms, digital transformation, and AI ethics.
Xi Wu is an Assistant Professor at Tilburg University, where she studies how technologies shape the way firms capture and create value. Her work spans digital platforms, open-source software, and intellectual property, drawing on econometrics, analytical modeling, and machine learning.
Nicolai Fabian is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen. He studies how emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and Big Data transform organizations, combining computational methods with econometric and configurational approaches. His work has appeared in the European Journal of Information Systems, the Journal of Business Research, and the Communications of the AIS, among others.
Tamara Thuis is an Assistant Professor in AI Ethics and Governance at VU Amsterdam's KIN Center for Digital Innovation. Using qualitative and ethnographic methods, she investigates how organizations put ethical values into practice when developing and deploying AI, and how they navigate an evolving regulatory landscape. She also co-founded EDSA, a foundation bridging academia, government, and industry around real-world AI dilemmas.
With these three presenters joining keynote speaker Eric van Heck, the program now covers a broad range of IS topics. A preliminary schedule is available on the program page; the final order will be confirmed in consultation with the speakers in the coming days.
